btw, i'm currently in the land of far far away, Kulim for my very last posting. the journey from Nilai to Kulim itself, took almost 8 hours. imagine that... here, it's a very small town which transport would be the most inconvenient thing ever. the provisions are quite expensive, 2- 3 bucks more expensive than it is in KL area, but the food, DIRT CHEAP. can you imagine buying 4 durians for only 10 bucks? or 1 for 2 bucks!? but that's how much it cost here! =P as for the quality of the durian, i must say, NOT BAD too... : )
the hospital... i reckon it's a small one here where it's not as hectic as those hospitals that i've been to. Batu Pahat is MAD CRAZY, the wards will be so full that patients literally sleep at the corridors. Muar, is a whole lot betta than BP, though patients dont sleep around the corridor, but there's so much to do. here, i'm not so sure just yet. because last week i've only been to the A & E department, which is one of the very interesting place and also, it can be a little boring when there's no patient coming in.
well, to me, that's how i think. no patients= no accidents, no one getting sick, which is a good thing. hmmm, but honestly, there's so much to learn about. things that we were once forbid to do are now allowed in A&E, like taking blood from patient, inserting branula ( a small catheter they insert into your veins for drips) which i'm not very skillful about it. it took me all total of 3 patients before i can finally insert one correct one.
what else?! the first day at work was already chaotic. a patient actually collapsed into fits in front of me and we had to resuscitate the patient. i didnt do much of course, with the whole bunch of MOs and MAs in there. well, i assisted a little though... : ) great experience i should say... seriously.
and one more thing, that made me rather unhappy was simply because we're now in 5th sem and people just expect us to know more, expect us to know everything. : ( very hard you know... because our clinical experiences are little and so, we dont literally know everything. when they say, oh so you're in 5th sem, you should know everything by now. you should know better...' sigh... horrible i tell you. gotta start revising but the line here is so good that PPS-ing and my current obsession with Dragonica isn't helping. geez...
